Privacy & Consent

As a clinical arts therapist, I am required to follow strict guidelines for professional conduct that are in line with the ANZACATA Code of Ethics.

Before we begin our first session you are required to complete a consent form that will formally outline the conditions of practice. If a client is under 16 years of age or under legal guardianship a guardian is required to sign the consent form.

Any personal details or experience shared in a therapeutic session will be kept confidential. I will only break this confidentiality if I believe a client is at real risk of self harm or of harming others. That being said, clinical supervision is a requirement of practice and during supervision individual clients may be discussed. Supervision is used to help improve clinical practice and no individually identifying details of a client will be shared with a supervisor.
